Our Mission
We are passionate about making our city a major biotech hub.
Biotech Connection Los Angeles (BCLA) is a project of the 501(c)(3) non-profit Community Partners. We are an organization run by academics and biotech professionals from all over Los Angeles. We bring academia and the biotech industry together to drive innovation forward.

Founded in 1997, we are proud to be a member of The Claremont Colleges. With an entrepreneurial approach and industry connections, KGI provides pathways for students to become leaders in healthcare and the applied life sciences.
LA BioSpace
LA BioSpace is leading Cal State LA’s mission to promote a thriving bioscience ecosystem in the heart of Los Angeles. They provide emerging entrepreneurs with flexible facilities, resources, training and knowledge to launch startup ventures and spur regional economic development. As its programming component, LA BioStart is a comprehensive 5-week mentoring program that grows high-level biotech leaders. It will offer cohort 8 in the summer of 2025 (at no cost to eligible participants).
