Our Mission
We are passionate about making our city a major biotech hub.
Biotech Connection Los Angeles (BCLA) is a project of the 501(c)(3) non-profit Community Partners. We are an organization run by academics and biotech professionals from all over Los Angeles. We bring academia and the biotech industry together to drive innovation forward.

Building upon the university’s Michelson Center for Convergent Bioscience Initiative, the Bridge Institute unites artists, engineers, scientists and physicians from USC, bridging the molecules of life to improve the human condition.

LA BioSpace
LA BioSpace is leading Cal State LA’s mission to promote a thriving bioscience ecosystem in the heart of Los Angeles. They provide emerging entrepreneurs with flexible facilities, resources, training and knowledge to launch startup ventures and spur regional economic development. As its programming component, LA BioStart is a comprehensive 5-week mentoring program that grows high-level biotech leaders. It will offer cohort 8 in the summer of 2025 (at no cost to eligible participants).
